MADISON, WISCONSIN, February 22, 2007- This Friday, 10:00 am at the Madison City Planning Desk, the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) will be issuing the necessary building permit to begin its extensive remodeling project at Aaron’s House.  TJK Design Build of Madison has generously donated the funds for the building permit and John Bieno, a representative from TJK, will be present to submit the check to the city.

NARI has a commitment to community service and education. The association feels strongly in giving back to the community that so generously supports its membership.  NARI has recently partnered with the Aaron Meyer Foundation to ensure Aaron’s House is more energy efficient and to help with necessary remodeling projects.

“Aaron’s house is a great opportunity to accomplish our goals, fulfill a dream and assist in changing the lives of others,” Melinda Monroe, Chairman of the NARI Board has stated, “Many NARI members have graciously agreed to donate labor and materials to complete this project”.

Aaron’s House, scheduled to open August 2007, is an alcohol and drug-free home where young men ages 17-25 in recovery will live and support one another while continuing their education. It’s a 3-year pilot project spearheaded by the Aaron Meyer Foundation in partnership with the Chris Farley Foundation and Connections Counseling, LLC.  Each is located in Madison, Wisconsin.

“The generous support of the NARI membership, people who are giving from their hearts and souls, shows how deep the commitment in this community goes,” said Tom Meyer, Aaron’s Dad.  “These are small business owners who care about making life better for families. They trust in the Aaron's House project and we are grateful that the house will be more healthy, more comfortable, and more safe because of NARI membership action”.
