MADISON, WISCONSIN, January 13, 2007, Teens in recovery are hosting the first annual MadCity JamFest at the Lussier Teen Center at 827 East Washington Avenue tonight from 5-12pm.  The benefit is to help young people in need of alcohol and drug treatment in Dane County with proceeds going to the Chris Farley Foundation, Aaron Meyer Foundation and Connections Counseling.

“We need to celebrate sobriety and music is a natural high!" says Shelly Dutch of Connections Counseling.  “These musicians in recovery are just awesome because they carry the message that you can be drug-free and cool, artistic and be a musician!”

The cost of the benefit is $5 at the door and includes 7 area teen bands with at least one band member in recovery.

“Aaron would say this event, put on by youth in recovery, with performances by youth in recovery, for the entertainment of everyone is ‘Goodtimes’”, said Tom Meyer of the Aaron Meyer Foundation. “The talent uncovered of people with addictions Rocks!”

To learn more about the benefit, call Stacy Ozanne (608) 358-4499 or go to www.aaronshousemadison.org
