James Sauer, LCSW, LMFT, SAC, ICS brings over 30 years of clinical experience to Aaron House. His background includes years of Substance Abuse and Mental Health services to inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient and day treatment, as well as private practice outpatient levels of care. He has served as a director of several treatment programs.
“I feel I can bring spirit to the house and be a mentor from both up close and at a distance,” said James Sauer. “It is truly a gift to be offered this position as I have been invited into a special place to partake in a special journey”.
Aaron’s House, located at 850 E. Gorham Street, is a unique, peer-support transitional housing program for college-aged men in recovery from drug or alcohol dependency. The residents will pursuit their higher education goals while working part-time. Four student residents and one house mentor live at Aaron’s House.
“James has an excellent background and is highly regarded in the AODA field” said Jeff Kuchenbecker, Treasurer of the Aaron Meyer Foundation. “We are blessed to have Jim as our new Clinical Director”.
