First Weber Group Foundation Makes Second $2500 Donation to Aaron's House

MADISON, WISCONSIN, January 11, 2008
"The Board unanimously agreed that Aaron J. Meyer Foundation, Inc. contributes much to the community and is therefore happy to provide financial support at this time,” said Mary Weber, First Weber Group Foundation Administrative Director. “With organizations like yours, we are able to help individuals work toward a brighter future.”

First Weber Group Foundation, Inc. was established to enhance its commitment to strengthen communities through both charitable contributions and volunteer leadership.  The Foundation focuses on giving to programs in Wisconsin where their corporation has a major presence, seeking to support housing related programs and other categories of giving that are consistent with the values represented by First Weber Group.

“First Weber Group Foundation recognized Aaron's House as relevant right from the beginning” Tom Meyer, Aaron’s Dad said.  “In addition to this second $2,500 donation, we receive hundreds of dollars in contributions from Realtors and Staff at First Weber through the First Weber Group Foundation throughout the year. We are grateful to be one of the many recipients of First Weber's compassion”.

Aaron’s House successfully opened in August 2007.  It is located at 850 E. Gorham Street and is a unique, peer-support transitional housing program for college-aged men in recovery from drug or alcohol dependency.  The residents will pursuit their higher education goals while working part-time.  Four student residents and one house mentor live at Aaron’s House.
