Mission Statement
The Aaron J. Meyer Foundation serves college aged men and women in recovery through a unique peer support modality, providing students the opportunity to live and study in a chemical-free environment. Cultivating the natural supports within the community, this resident-driven program relies on highly individualized programing and goal planning, mentorship, effective networking and case management, and the building of healthy and lasting relationships critical to longterm sobriety.

To make the Aaron House what it is, many people gave what they have. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry-Madison Chapter (NARI) renovated the house from top to bottom. Gary Fisher, of Gary Fisher Bikes gave four supreme quality bikes--one for each Student-Resident.
Bikes are a sneaky way to encourage healthy living. I've always liked that. But I really admire the work being done at the Aaron Meyer House. It is so refreshing. At its core is compassion and discipline and it treats the two not as conflicting ideals, but instead it rightly realizes the two are crucial for a healthy life for everyone regardless of their situation.
