Books that Matter

Now that this has happened, what am I going to do about me? Help yourself,  "just for today".

Why Gender Matters

Forget everything you think you know about gender differences in children. Boys and girls see and hear the world differently--not only figuratively but literally. These differences have major implications for education and parenting.

Something Scary is Happening with Boys Today
From kindergarten to college, they’re less resilient and less ambitious than they were a mere twenty years ago. But until now, no one has come up with good reasons for their decline—nor, more important, with workable solutions to reverse this troubling trend.

The Power of Now and The New Earth

Read to Recovery

Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather he must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life' and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible. Thus, logotherapy sees in responsibleness the very essence of human existence.

Man's Search for Meaning, an Introduction to Logotherapy by Viktor E. Frankl

On the morning of May 8, 2005, two days after Aaron turned 18, I asked him as he woke up "Now that you are finally 18, what thoughts are going through your mind?" I was expecting to hear "I'm OUTTA HERE!" Instead, Aaron, laying on his back in bed, closed his eyes, grinned a tight big grin, stretched his long arms out above his head as far as they could go and released from his heart and soul, the one word-- "Responsssibilllllityyy!" I knew right then that my son was on his way to Goodtimes.
